High-Density Foam Insert for Essex Planter XXL — Pot 15

The insert that finishes the Essex Planter XXL. Cut from high-density foam to the shape of this planter, it holds your plant up towards the top rather than letting it drop down inside.

What it does

The Essex has no lip, so the insert seats against the inside of the planter and carries the plant at the height you want it. Nothing is packed into the base, and the plant lifts straight out whenever you want to change the arrangement.

One insert per planter, sold separately from the planter itself.

What else you need

A topping to cover the insert and finish the arrangement — bark chip or moss, whichever look you want. Bark chip is bought per planter, two 1kg bags for this size. Moss goes further: one 500g pack covers several planters.

Foam, not packing material

This is high-density foam, precision cut for one job. It isn't the loose polystyrene, rubble or offcuts sometimes pushed into the base of a planter, which shift under the plant and can't be reseated once they drop.
