What you need for artificial planting
The Sirus is deep, so a plant needs lifting to sit at the mouth rather than dropping down inside it. Two things turn this pot into a finished arrangement, and both are sold separately.
- The foam insert — High-Density Foam Insert for Sirus Vase Round M. High-density foam, precision cut to the shape of this pot. The Sirus has no lip, so the insert seats against the inside of the pot and holds the plant up towards the top, where you want it. Nothing is packed into the base, and the plant lifts straight out when you want to change it.
- A topping — bark chip or moss, whichever finish you want. It fills around the plant and covers the insert, so the pot reads as one piece. Bark chip is bought per pot — one 1kg bag for this size. Moss goes further: one 500g pack covers several pots.
Planting live in this pot
You need neither of the parts above. This pot can be planted directly — there are markings underneath showing where to drill drainage holes, which is how we'd finish it for outdoors.
