Linford Planter M (44cm x 39.5cm) – Chalk Beige

Complement your interior styling with the Linford Planter M, a medium-profile vessel that brings a balanced, understated aesthetic to any space. Finished in a versatile Chalk Beige, this planter offers a clean, organic look that integrates seamlessly into both modern corporate offices and refined residential settings.

Constructed from high-grade, durable polyresin, the Linford provides the sophisticated appearance of stone with the practical benefits of a lightweight, resilient build. Its classic, mid-sized silhouette makes it a versatile choice for tabletop arrangements, smaller floor features, or grouped displays.

Key Features

  • Optimal dimensions — 44cm diameter and 39.5cm height, a stable, compact footprint suitable for a variety of interior placements.
  • Durable and lightweight — engineered for longevity, the polyresin stays resilient without the weight of traditional ceramic or stone.
  • Nests for delivery — the range stacks inside itself, so an order of several ships in a fraction of the space it looks like it should need. That is a real saving on freight, and it is why a bulk or trade order costs less to deliver than the size of the planters suggests.

What you need for artificial planting

Three things turn this planter into a finished arrangement. They are sold separately, and all three are listed under Pair it with, just above this description.

  1. The steel top — Linford Planter Medium 44x39.5 Chalk Beige - Steel Top Insert. A powder-coated ring cut to sit inside this planter, with a central opening that takes the Fomosa pot.
  2. The inner pot — Plastic Black Fomosa Pot, 23 × 24cm. This is what holds the plant, and it drops straight into the opening in the steel top.
  3. A topping — bark chip or moss, whichever finish you want. It fills around the Fomosa pot and covers the steel top, so the planter reads as one piece. Bark chip is bought per planter — one 1kg bag for this size. Moss goes further: one 500g pack covers several planters, so you won't need one per pot.

The steel top is what makes this work. You don't pack the base with polystyrene, rubble or offcuts to lift the plant to the right height, and the plant can be changed later without digging any of it out.

Planting live in this planter

You need none of the parts above. This planter can be planted directly — there are markings underneath showing where to drill drainage holes, which is how we'd finish it for outdoors. Indoors we suggest a complete liner instead: this size takes the 32cm Complete Liner, which carries the soil on a deck above a water reservoir, so the plant draws water up as it would in the ground rather than being watered from the top. Worth knowing that the liner doesn't sit high enough on its own — you lift it on something and pack around it to hold it steady.

Care & Maintenance Guide

Routine cleaning: Dust the exterior regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For a deeper clean, wipe with a damp, soft cloth using only water or a mild, pH-neutral soap solution, then dry off.

Avoid abrasives: Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring pads or harsh chemical cleaners. These dull the matte terrazzo finish and cannot be undone.

Surface protection: Avoid dragging the planter across rough surfaces, which scratches the underside. Use felt pads if it will be moved often on hard flooring.

Indoor and outdoor: Suitable for both. Outdoors, drill the drainage holes marked underneath before planting directly, and stand the planter on feet or pads so the base is not left sitting in water.

Sunlight: The polyresin is weather resistant. In areas of intense direct sunlight, dust regularly to stop particulates building up on the matte surface.

Artificial arrangements: Lift the inner pot out to clean around it rather than washing the arrangement in place. Bark chip and moss lift straight off and can be rinsed or replaced.

Moving it: Lightweight for its size, but carry rather than drag, and empty it first when moving a planted arrangement.
